Are you a medical student, doctor in training, nurse, paramedic or other health care practitioner who sees acutely ill patients? If so you will know that plain film radiography is often vital to making the diagnosis.
Radiology, particularly the plain X-rays that are initially ordered are often crucial to making the right diagnosis or dictating the most appropriate treatment or avenue of investigation. The primary interpretation will often lie with the ordering physician and this can often be quite daunting.
This app aims to present a host of common clinical scenarios and radiological diagnoses that might be encountered whilst in A&E (ER) on the wards or on call in medicine, such that users will hopefully feel more prepared and confident when these situations arise.
The quick reference section (A2Z) allows rapid look up of an X ray finding or diagnosis for comparison with a film in front of you!
V1.0 contains 50 cases with HD images that are zoomable and detailed explanatory notes along the real image reports.
The clinical content is written by Dr Richard Hawkins M.B. Ch.B. (Hons) F.R.C.R. a practicing NHS Consultant Radiologist working at Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust in Crewe, Cheshire, UK.
